About Scoparia Designs
Scoparia Designs makes custom packs for any kind of adventure. Whether you're running, walking, skiing, climbing or packrafting, I can make the perfect pack for you.

Why Scoparia Designs?
Ultralight gear has had a dubious reputation (partially deserved) when it comes to durability in tough conditions.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
By combining the principles of minimalist, ultralight design with high-end super-tough materials, Scoparia Designs makes packs that can handle anything and weigh nothing.
Durability
Scoparia Designs packs are made primarily with Challenge Sailcloth Ultra. This high-end fabric was developed very recently and is constructed with a UHMWPE (also known as Dyneema) weave, laminated onto a fully waterproof PET backing. In lab testing, the 400 denier fabric (Ultra 400) was found to have twice the abrasion resistance of 1000 denier Cordura (the previous gold standard for high abrasion reinforcement on packs).
Comfort
Sometimes even the most disciplined packer has to deal with a heavy load. Scoparia Designs packs are built with generous, well padded harnesses, solid frames and a structure the keeps the load high and close to your back.
Waterproofing
With a roll top design, inherently waterproof fabric and internal seam taping, all Scoparia Designs packs are pretty much* waterproof. The UHMWPE fibres also do not absorb water and will not gain any significant weight when wet, unlike canvas and nylon.
*There are some reinforcement stitches that are impractical to seal, and while anti-wicking thread is used in these cases, some moisture may find a way in during very wet conditions. Internal drybags are recommended.
Guarantee
If your Scoparia Designs pack breaks or wears out after any amount of use, I will repair or replace it, for free.
